Michael Nitti is one of our top coaches at RRI. He is also a dear friend, mentor, and one of my coaches. He posted this today, and I think it's worth sharing.
"It's not what you are looking at, it's what you see. For the most part, what you and I tend to "see" is what we expect to see, which is shaped by what we've seen before. Hence, how most of us react to situations in the present tends to replicate how we've always reacted, which is why people tend to live lives that are little more than regurgitated versions of the past. To break free, one must simply observe this occurring and STOP it. Give it up. Train yourSelf to see what is real and present in the NOW. Acknowledge the past and let it go. Live and love on purpose, which requires that you move toward something intentionally versus reacting from fear. YOU are the author of your own experience. Create!!"
It's hard to believe we are already almost a month into the new year! It's been a very busy time for me. In addition to moving into a new home, Thanksgiving and Christmas (both at my house), out of town guests three times already, being sick, and working, we have added a new family member. My new little grandson, Ezekiel, made his entrance into the world on January 19 at 3:03 a.m., weighing in at 7 pounds, 11 ounces, and 19 inches long.
I am sure life has been keeping you very busy as well. It always does. That's what makes it so easy to get "caught up" and lose sight of our goals. Are you still on track with yours? Are you even clear as to what they are? If so, congratulations! And keep up the good work!
If not, what better time than now to get back on track? Decide right now how you want your life to look at the end of 2013, and get busy! Share your goals with me on our next coaching call. Join our 90 day challenge. No, it's not too late! Don't forget to celebrate every little accomplishment along the way. It keeps you focused and it's just more fun.
Let's all make this the best year EVER! Isn't it time?
If you have attended Unleash the Power Within before, you know what a great event it is. Watch the video below to be re-inspired. Remember what it was like for you to be part of that energy and get back into a strong, empowered state.
If you have not attended yet, watch the video, take action, and do whatever you need to do to get yourself there! Let me know if you have not gotten a ticket yet so I can support you in getting one.
We are always building momentum. The big question is, what direction is your momentum taking you? Are you building momentum towards the life of your dreams? Or are you building momentum towards a life of constant struggle? Are you building momentum toward a life of vibrant health and energy, or is your momentum taking you steadily towards a wheelchair and a life of medication and pain?
It's so easy to get distracted from your real goals. Summer is here, and the kids are out of school. You're going out of town on holiday for a week or two (or six, if you're one of my lucky European clients). Suddenly it's fall, and "as soon as the kids are back in school..." After that, well, once the holidays are over... Then it's a new year, and you have to get your taxes done. But now it's spring break and the kids are out of school... Before you know it, it's summer, and the cycle starts all over again. A year has gone by, and you're no further ahead than you were last year.
What happened to your goals?
Don't let that be you! You've made an investment in yourself by getting a coach. You have made a decision that NOW is the time to live life on your terms, to manage your time rather than have your time manage you. Honor that decision. Staying on track with consistent appointments is essential for maintaining momentum in the right direction.
You have made your choices known to the universe. The distractions are a test of your level of commitment. Will you pass the test?
